HYDRONICS UNLOCKED ONLINE COURSE
MCS recognised Qualification
Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems

The best of both worlds
Hydronics Unlocked combines the practical systems and controls training needed to deliver right-first-time jobs with an MCS recognised qualification.
Our Qualification
Warmur Academy is approved by UK Certification to deliver the Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems qualification.
UK Certification is a UKAS registered Awarding Organisation overseeing training quality and assessment.
UK Certification will issue your certificate upon successful completion of the course and assessment.
What the qualification covers
The course combines low temperature heating and hot water knowledge with our practical 10 Step Hydronics process, teaching you the skills you need in the order jobs run, from survey to final settings.
You’ll learn how to:
- Calculate and apply room-by-room heat loss.
- Size heat emitters for lower water temperatures.
- Size pipework, check the index circuit and plot a pump map.
- Assess domestic hot water requirements and size systems accordingly.
- Pair heating controls and prep for balancing.
How the course is delivered
The course is delivered online and on demand, using real-world scenarios, simulators, worked examples and knowledge checks to embed learning, followed by a final assessment.
Who the course is for
Hydronics Unlocked is for practising heating engineers, apprentices, designers, trainers and industry professionals developing their low temperature design knowledge for boiler and heat pump systems.

MCS listing: what it means for installers
The UK Certification Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems is recognised by MCS and forms part of the evidence your Certification Body considers when assessing your business.
Heating engineers can add this award to their heat pump installation qualification to demonstrate the low temperature design knowledge required for MIS 3005-D (MCS design standard).
