Warmur Academy partners with Ideal Heating to launch Hydronics Unlocked Online

Ideal Heating is supporting Warmur Academy to launch Hydronics Unlocked Online, a brand-new digital training programme that helps heating professionals apply modern system design principles in the real world, on any job.

The collaboration brings together Ideal Heating’s training leadership and trusted installer brand with Warmur Academy’s specialist expertise in hydronic system design, to jump-start a shift in competency across the industry.

Why this matters right now

As the industry moves towards heat pumps and lower flow temperatures, system design is no longer a “nice to have”. It’s the difference between systems that perform well and those that struggle from day one.

When design falls short, the resulting performance issues are often blamed on products, even though the root cause is usually decisions made long before commissioning.

What Hydronics Unlocked is designed to fix

Hydronics Unlocked was built to bridge the gap between the theory installers need to know and how they apply that in the real world.

Rather than teaching isolated topics, the programme is structured around Warmur Academy’s 10-step hydronics process, giving engineers a clear framework they can apply consistently to design any system, whether they’re working on boilers today or heat pumps tomorrow.

In practice, this means helping engineers to:

• Replace guesswork with clear design principles
• Make flow, resistance and pump capability work for the job
• Solve problems before they cost time and money

From classroom to scalable digital learning

Until now, Hydronics Unlocked has been delivered as an in-person one-day course. 

With Ideal Heating’s support as a founding partner, the programme is now being expanded into an interactive digital learning platform, allowing engineers to:

• Access the course wherever they are in the UK
• Learn at their own pace in bitesize sections
• Revisit concepts when they need to
• Apply the same design principles consistently across their jobs

The digital programme will sit alongside our in-person training and include a recognised Low Temperature qualification.
