2. About The Big Boiler Quiz

The Big Boiler Quiz is a free online quiz promotion run by Warmur Academy.

Entrants can choose from three quiz rounds: Boilers, Controls or Pumps. Each round consists of five questions.

Eligible participants who complete at least one round and submit the required entry details will receive one entry into the prize draw.

Quiz scores do not affect an entrant’s chances of winning.

3. The prizes

There are 10 prizes available.

Each winner will receive single access to Hydronics Unlocked online training course.

The usual course price is £495 + VAT per enrolment.

Each prize includes six months’ access to Hydronics Unlocked from the date the winner activates their course account.

Activations must take place within 14 days of the winner notification email.

The prize is non-transferable except where these Terms & Conditions expressly allow a transfer for a winner who has previously completed Hydronics Unlocked online course or has active access to the course. No cash alternative will be offered.

If a selected winner has previously completed Hydronics Unlocked or has active access to the course at the time of the draw, they may choose either to:

• transfer their Hydronics Unlocked prize to another person who meets the promotion’s eligibility criteria; or
• take a place on an eligible one-day Warmur Academy training course instead, with a usual course price of £295 + VAT.

Any alternative one-day course is offered at the winner’s choice, is subject to availability and any applicable course prerequisites, and no cash payment will be made for any difference in value.

4. Eligibility

The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over who are currently working as domestic heating engineers, apprentices, heating system designers or other domestic heating industry professionals.

Employees of Warmur Academy Ltd and anyone directly involved in administering the promotion are not eligible to enter.

Warmur Academy reserves the right to ask a selected winner for reasonable evidence that they meet the eligibility criteria before awarding a prize.

5. Promotion period

The prize draw opens at 00:00 on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 October 2026.

Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.

6. How to enter

To enter the prize draw, participants must:

• complete at least one round of The Big Boiler Quiz; and
• submit the required entry details at the end of the quiz.

No purchase is necessary.

Completing one valid quiz round and submitting the required details creates one entry into the prize draw.

7. Entry limits

There is a maximum of one prize draw entry per person.

Entrants may complete additional quiz rounds, but doing so will not create additional entries or improve their chances of winning.

A participant’s quiz score, chosen category and number of rounds completed have no bearing on the prize draw.

8. Winner selection

The 10 winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the closing date.

Winners will be selected using a verifiably random process.

Quiz scores will not be used in selecting the winners.

9. Winner notification and claiming a prize

Winners will be contacted using the email address supplied with their entry within five working days of the closing date.

Winners must respond and claim their prize within 14 days of the date of the winner notification email.

If a winner does not respond within that period, Warmur Academy reserves the right to treat the prize as unclaimed and select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

10. Course activation and access

Once a winner has claimed their prize, Warmur Academy will provide instructions for accessing Hydronics Unlocked.

The winner must activate their course account within 14 days of receiving the activation instructions.

If the course is not activated within this period, Warmur Academy may treat the prize as forfeited and may select another winner.

The winner may confirm the email address they wish to use for their Hydronics Unlocked account when claiming the prize. The prize itself remains non-transferable.

Once activated, the winner will have six months’ access to Hydronics Unlocked.

Completion of the course and any required assessment is necessary to achieve the associated qualification; winning the prize does not in itself guarantee a qualification.

11. Personal data

Personal information submitted as part of the promotion will be used by Warmur Academy to administer The Big Boiler Quiz and the prize draw, including to:

• record valid entries;
• check eligibility where necessary;
• select winners;
• contact winners; and
• provide and administer the prizes.

Entrant information will not be shared with Installer Online for its own marketing purposes.

12. Marketing communications

Entering the prize draw does not require entrants to agree to receive marketing communications from Warmur Academy.

Entrants may separately choose to receive emails about Warmur Academy courses, training and related updates.

Any marketing consent will be optional and presented separately from acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Winner information

Warmur Academy intends to publish or make available the surname and county of residence of each winner on the Warmur Academy website for a period of 30 days.

A winner may object to the publication of this information or ask Warmur Academy to reduce the amount of information made available about them.

Warmur Academy may still be required to provide winner information to a relevant regulatory body where required.

14. Winner feedback and publicity

Winners may be invited to provide feedback about The Big Boiler Quiz, Hydronics Unlocked or their experience of the prize.

Providing feedback is entirely optional and is not a condition of receiving a prize.

Warmur Academy will obtain separate permission before using a winner’s name, image, comments or feedback for testimonials, case studies or other marketing purposes.

15. Invalid entries and misuse

Warmur Academy reserves the right to reject or remove entries that it reasonably believes are fraudulent, duplicated, automatically generated, submitted using false information or otherwise made in breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Warmur Academy may also withhold a prize where it reasonably determines that a winner did not meet the eligibility criteria at the time of entry.

16. Technical issues

Warmur Academy is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not successfully submitted because of technical problems outside its reasonable control.

17. Changes to or cancellation of the promotion

Warmur Academy may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion only where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.

Where reasonably possible, any changes will be made in a way that avoids unfairly disadvantaging entrants.

18. Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

By entering The Big Boiler Quiz prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Warmur Academy will administer the promotion fairly and in accordance with applicable promotional rules.

The prize draw is subject to applicable UK law and regulatory requirements.
